 "Watts and I knew we had to act fast before we were goners. Right before  closing last night, we heard the vet tell Robby, “Please leave cage  number five secured with the clasp only and not padlocked, since I have  to come and take care of those two cats first thing tomorrow morning.” 

  Watts started to cry after he overheard that. “Take care of us? We’re so lovable and furry. Why doesn’t anyone want us?”    
 I  shrugged. “At the moment, that is the least of our problems. We have to  find a way out of here and we have to get out tonight.”
